Gamers Outreach

Each year, millions of children and their families receive medical care inside hospitals. For many, the process can be scary and isolating. During hospitalization, kids lose access to friends, school, and moments that typically define childhood. We’re on a mission to change their experience.

Gamers Outreach is a for-purpose organization helping to restore a sense of joy and normalcy in the lives of hospitalized children. We believe the world is better when kids can play, and gamers have the power to help.

Through equipment and software, we’re on a quest to ensure every hospital is enabled to provide kids with activities alongside care. The scale of the challenge is enormous but solvable. There are hundreds of pediatric hospitals in the United States alone. The infrastructure in these facilities varies, as does the level of staff-familiarity with games. We’re focused on delivering programs that reinforce both. Whether it be deploying one of our portable GO Karts, or rallying a team of Player 2 volunteers, we partner with healthcare experts to create solutions that can be sustained. In the midst of treatment, kids deserve a chance to be themselves. Video games are unique tools that provide children with access to digital playgrounds. Through gaming, kids can explore worlds, connect with others, express creativity, and most importantly – simply have fun.

Wherever there are games, gamers should be there to help! We invite you to become a part of the quest. Join our monthly giving community The GRID, and help provide gaming to kids and families all year round.
